On Saturday, August 16th the Ulster County Historical Society hosted a Civil War Encampment. Over 300 visitors we present to  witness militia re-enactments, drills, camp life, musket firing, and tradesmen.

Senator John Bonacic (at right) visited Bevier House Museum on August 28 and inspected improvements made to the building because of State funding made available to UCHS by his office. Among those greeting him were (left to right) UCHS Vice President Suzanne Hauspurg, Trustees Sandy Levy and Bill Rhoads and Executive Director Jessica Phinney.

Revolutionary War Encampment Saturday, May 17 2008. Military re-enactor units, colonial tradesmen and merchants, artillery demonstrations, children's storytelling and activities, A/V presentation on the burning of Kingston, and Hickory BBQ on premises selling their famous smoked hand-pulled pork.
